I've recently received a few discs from my new friend Frost that represent his band Wervolf. While I say "band", he seems to be the norm here at the Revenge lately for an artist that actually plays all of the instruments and does the mixing himself. It's amazing how many talented artists are out there. Here's a brief description of the three discs I received.
Ork Metal
An interesting piece which starts with an entrancing song called "Realm" and then leads into the song "Ork" that is like a powerdriver to the brain. Very entertaining indeed!
Black Metal Warriors
This one starts right in to some wonderful screaming and intense music for "Black Metal Warriors" and then leads to an almost gripping sound that is the instrumental "Sad Black Skies".
The second part of this CD is from Retaliation (still a Frost project) and makes one want to draw a weapon and run to the front of the line. If you are not ready to stand alongside warriors by now, you need to leave. The songs are "Bloodbath", "Out Of The Dungeon" and "Bible Fight"
The Aryan Northland
By far my favorite of the lot. The very start of the title track gets me clenching my fist and banging my head. As I have said in some previous reviews, my honesty makes me tell you that there are only few words that I can even understand, but if you are into this type of music you won't care. It's very powerful.
My overall impression is that Wervolf should be around for a long time. Be on the lookout for any future music!
