I'd only recently found Titans Eve in the vast world of metal, and knew right away that they were a talented and enthusiatic band. The rapid rate at which I received a copy of their song Tides Of Doom for airplay on my radio show and the quickness of getting these interview questions answered and returned only solidified those thoughts. It is bands like this that I truly enjoy promoting in any small way that I can.
Once you get to know them, I'm sure you will feel the same way......
D-Day: Thank you for speaking to the Revenge!
TE: Thanks for having us d-day!
D-Day: Tell us a little about your history. How did Titans Eve get together?
TE: Well Brian and I moved to van from Alberta to start a band. Didn't take long to find Casey, and from there we just started playing mad shows all over B.C. and Alberta.
D-Day: What was your inspiration for getting into music?
(editor: no answer here...)
D-Day: If you could choose any 3 bands to tour with worldwide, who would they be and why?
TE: We would tour with any band that can drink and are cool dudes. But if we had to pick it would be Arch Enemy, Black Label Society and Judas Priest. They all kick too much ass!
D-Day: You've got a big Canadian tour lined up. What can you tell us about that?
TE: We're heading out with The Seven Gates from France, us and Auroch from Vancouver. We plan on just destroying Canada and then set our sights on the U.S. this fall.
D-Day: When can we expect a new EP or album to come out?
TE: It`s getting recorded right now and we will have it on tour across Canada, and if they don`t all get stolen we can bring it to the states!
D-Day: What are your goals for getting signed? Looking for an indie label or major and why?
TE: Were doing pretty good on our own thanks to people like you D-day! If labels want to help out awesome but in the meantime were kicking ass and having a blast.
D-Day: I always throw in a multiple choice question and usually try to make them funny. But in this season of music festivals coming up, I'd like to ask this. Which of the following festivals would make Titans Eve most happy to be invited to and why?
a) ozzfest (if still going)
b) Waken Open Air
c) Monsters Of Rock
d) Ragnarök Festival
e) other
TE: "B" without a doubt. I`ve been watching my favorite bands rock that stage for years now. It would be amazing to be a part of all that greatness.
D-Day: Every band goes through some sort of craziness or Spinal Tap type moments. What has been the most wierd or fucked up thing you've experienced so far while performing with Titans Eve? Any zany fan story, equipment or wardrobe malfunction, someone shit their pants etc.. you get the idea.
TE: We were playing with Lazarus A.D., Black guard and Ensiferum here in Vancouver. We always have a beer chug with the crowd at our shows and like every other show we had the beer waiting. Brian had the crowd going then he chugged and hiccuped at the same time. Beer got all over his guitar and ruined the electronics. We had to scramble but we picked it up and I don`t think too many people noticed haha.
D-Day: What is the main goal for Titans Eve?
TE: Share our music with the world and pump everyone up to kick ass everyday!
D-Day: Thank you once again for taking the time to speak with us. Any final words or plugs for the fans?
TE: Stay tuned for the full length!!! It`s gonna be epic, and be ready for our tour cause its gonna be one hell of a party!
