D-Day speaks with Robby of Project- G
D-Day's Revenge...
Speak your mind!!
In my neverending quest to find good music to share with the readers, I've stumbled across Project-G. These guys have a great rocking sound and I would recommend that everyone stop by their pages to give a listen.
Robby G. was kind enough to answer some questions for us and does a fine job. Find out about their quest to be heard, plans for new material and what it would be like to open for a "ball bouncing" seal.

D-Day: How did Project G originate?

G: Well I have been playing music since I can remember, and recently, mostly other peoples music(covers), many of my friends and fans had heard some of my original stuff and kept asking when I was going to do something with it? So this year I decided it was time..

D-Day: You use the term "Agency". Where does that come
from?

G: Ah, I see you have been to our soundclick site good job, it was just kind of a spoof, so many bands of all genre's keep forgetting that this is supposed to be fun, and I was talking to a band I went to see once, and one of the members said "this isnt a game if you want to go anywhere you need to treat this as a business" hence "Agency"

D-Day: You've got some good sounding shit on MySpace at
this time. What can we look forward to?

G: Thanks, actually, that is just the beginning, now that PROJECT-G is my focus, the writing is flowing, and everytime SC and I get in the studio together the ideas are better than the last...there is some good shit to come

D-Day: Is there any interest in a label at this time?

G: We have had a few people contact us, some serious, but nothing hammered in stone, still talking and looking...

D-Day: You've obviously used the internet for
publicity. How do you feel about music downloading in
general? Do you feel Metallica and the rest maybe got
excited too early?

G: Lars and the boys did what they thought was right, I think the new services that let you purchase 1 song at a time are a happy medium, but I believe if a fan really loves your music, they are gonna want to own the real disk, see the art work, read the booklets, ect...

D-Day: What tour would best suit Project G? Give us
three bands....

G:Kiss, Motley Crue, Bon Jovi...that oughta make for some big crowds..lol

D-Day: Let's try a multiple choice question....

"Jay Leno wants you on The Tonight Show, but says you
have to go on before Bongo the 'Ball Bouncing Seal'."
How do you react?

a) Say, "It's Leno, I'll do whatever he wants." and be
professional.

b) Look for the feeder fish and plant some anti-freeze
for the seal to choke on.

c) Tell Jay to go fuck himself

d) Play a great set and then kill the seal out of
principle.

G: How about D then C...lol truthfully A, I would rather honor our fans with a kick ass show, and probably jam with the seal...

D-Day: Who are some of your main influences?

G: Well I started out as a drummer, and J. Bonham is king, but as a guitar player there are tons most of them from the 80/90's

D-Day: If someone came up with the name "Project H",
would you be pissed?

G: Nope, my name is Robby G, thats where the name comes from, so "Robby H" is welcome to Project-H, in fact could we add them to the tour?

D-Day: What is the main goal for Project G?

G: I want the world to hear our music, and see us play. I love nothing more than the myspacers who like our music so much they add it to their page to share with their friends, or ask for a banner to put on their site, and even join our rock-n-roll wall of fame. If all I needed to do to survive is music, I would die happy!

D-Day: Any final words?

G: Our fans inspire us every day, in many ways. I love what I do, and I do it for them!! I would also like to thank D-Day for giving me a chance to share with our fans!
