D-Day's Revenge...
Speak your mind!
This is the first of many (hopefully) new types of entries for the World Of Rock section here at D-Day's Revenge! We've spoken to DJ's, Promoters, Webzine reporters etc here, but now we have a Heavy Metal Model!
Madeleine Horn has a huge portfolio of outstandings photos as well as being a performance artist in high demand.
She took some time out to speak with us. Enjoy....

D-Day: First of all, thanks for speaking with D-Day's Revenge!

MH: Glad to do it!

D-Day: Introduce yourself to us. Name, where you're from, etc.

MH: Madeleine Horn also know as The Horned Goddess. Burlesque artist and model from Canada.

D-Day: How is the metal scene in your area?

MH: It isn't as good as it once was but there are some great bands that have stood the test  of time that are friends of mine like Dead Jesus, and The Order of Chaos.

D-Day: When did you first get into metal and what style or various styles do you prefer?

MH: My interest in metal was born when I was 12 years old and a friend of mine played me  Slayer and Mayhem. I was drawn in deeper and deeper after that. My first love is  blackmetal, melodic black and goth metal. I like sounds that are extremely satanic and  romantic at the same time.

D-Day: You are known as the World's 1st Heavy Metal Model. Tell us how you came about that  description and why.

MH: A fan called me that on myspace and I just held on to it. I think because my passion  for satanic metal and goth rock are greatly expressed through my images.

D-Day: What types of shows or modeling "gigs" do you have planned for the near future that  we may check out?

MH: Well right now I'm in Los Angeles working with Emily Marilyn(EmilyMarilyn.com), Junker  Designs, and many more websites and photographers. I'm performing the last two weekendsin  March in my hometown of Edmonton, AB at Empire Ballroom and then I'm off to Germany in  April to perform at Fetish Evolution.

D-Day: I see that you like to wear horns in some of your shoots and read that you create  them yourself. What was your inspiration for that?

MH: They were part of a goat warrior woman Halloween costume from when I was 16. I dug them  out and was inspired by them again, now I have a small collection of different horns I  collect in my travels or sent to me from fans.

D-Day: Do you have a particular fetish that you prefer acting out?

MH: Yes, blood. I love blood, a warm mouthful straight from the vein is the best. It has to  be a certain quality though, I can smell when someone's blood isn't to my taste. I also  love having my feet worshipped, bare or in high heels/boots.

D-Day: For a different opportunity...If you could go out on tour with any band as part of  their show, who would it be and why? (if any)

MH: The 69 Eyes. Their music works very well with my shows, it's dark, romantic, sexy, and  evil. We'd compliment each other wonderfully.

D-Day: What is the most fun or entertaining part of what you do?

MH: The moment onstage when you feel your connection with the audience click, when you gain  total control of their energy and then the amazing energy when I'm done my show taking my  bow and knowing I've pleased the audience.

D-Day: Do you also have some unpleasant or disturbing experiences as well? What advice do  you have for potential models wanting to get into the field or lifestyle?

MH: As a model, I think with any entertainment feild, you have to keep getting up no matter  how many times people try and knock you down because the more people appreciate your work  the more people hate you for it as well. It can be a difficult thing to deal with.

D-Day: What are your goals for the future?

MH: To perform onstage with a band that I appreciate, like The 69 Eyes, or possibly Type O  Negative. I'd also love to perform opening for a runway fashion show, for someone like John  Galliano or Armani. My dream was to perform for an Alexander McQueen show, his death hit me  hard. I was so inspired by him.

D-Day: Thanks again for speaking with us. Any final words for the fans?

MH: If you want to see me suggest me to your local clubs/event promoters! Keep up to date  on http://www.madeleine-horn.com/
